As a photographer, you try and plan out your schedule very carefully. I do especially so I don’t interfere with my day job. But no matter how much planing you do, things can always pop up! With Suzanna and Paul, I’m glad it did.

It started when my wife was perusing Facebook and asked me “Hey are you open Saturday? Someone is looking for a photographer” I was not apart of the Facebook group at that time (I sure am now!) So she vouched for me in the group as well as messaging Suzanna! My wife REALLY hyped me up and before I knew it, I had a session booked!

I loved working with Suzanna and Paul! I took them to some of my favorite spots around Roanoke. First we went to the field outside of shakers, which I found was airport territory and I need to be careful! Then we went to Mill Mountain. I was trying to avoid Mill Mountain in the past due to it being such a prevalent part of Roanoke. If I kept going then I was not exploring and finding other areas. Good thing I am wrong sometimes! This area is great and has a great variety of backgrounds.

I love working with people who are not ashamed of being themselves. To be open, laugh, and just enjoy being in each others company are things I value highly. It’s one of the reasons I do portraits, it’s a great way to meet new people and if they are themselves, it makes the picture even better!

Our next stop was Roanoke Mountain. BUT it is still closed and I am very frustrated about it. A website I looked at said it was open, but now I am not sure if its kept up with. So I guess I just have to keep going until it is! Luckily my new favorite spot is right around the corner. There is no specific name for it, but I just call it the fence with a view.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them! If you need any portrait or wedding photography, I would love to talk with you about it!

Thanks for all the likes, love and shares!
