About Me

Taylor Reschka

Photographer / Videographer

Hello! Welcome to Taylored Images.

My name is Taylor Reschka, and I believe the best thing you can be—on your wedding day and every day—is yourself.

I grew up in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, where I learned to appreciate the outdoors and the value of slowing down and paying attention. You won’t find me backpacking across a mountain range anytime soon, but I do love wandering through nature, observing light, color, and the small moments most people overlook. That instinct—to notice without interrupting—shapes how I photograph weddings.

I attended Michigan State University as a physics major, but like many people in their early twenties, I struggled to balance school, life, and the confusing process of becoming an adult. During that time, I found stand-up comedy. Comedy became an outlet, a survival tool, and eventually a teacher. It taught me how to read a room, ease tension, and help people feel comfortable being themselves. Those instincts now show up every time I pick up a camera.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me hanging out with my dog Daisy, playing an overly complicated strategy game, watching a movie, working on a garden, or finding some excuse to make something. I’m heavily inspired by directors like Guillermo del Toro and Edgar Wright—their use of color, storytelling, and commitment to individuality deeply influence how I see the world and how I photograph it.

One of my favorite things to photograph is food. Food tells a story—about culture, comfort, daily life—and it happens to be one of the most visually rich subjects out there. That love of color, texture, and storytelling carries over into my wedding work as well.

Ultimately, I think photography is about paying attention. The big moments matter, obviously, but so do the weird little ones in between—the laugh someone wasn't expecting, the look between two people, the tiny details you didn't realize you'd want to remember. My job is to notice those things and turn them into something you can hold onto.

Thanks so much for being here. I’m looking forward to learning more about you and creating something meaningful together.
